Pinto Lake Demo Garden Grand Opening

You're Invited!

UC Master Gardeners Teaching & Demonstration Garden Grand Opening

 

The community is invited to join us at our new Pinto Lake Teaching & Demonstration Garden on Saturday, June 1 for a Grand Opening from 11 am - 2 pm.

Our garden is located at 757 Green Valley Road, Watsonville, CA 95076. Read  about the demonstration garden.

This free, family-friendly event will feature:

  • Tacos y Mariscos Imperio Nuevo food truck
  • music by DJ Mikey B
  • demonstrations
  • hands-on mini-workshops: Succulent Mini-Gardens and Seed Planting (while supplies last)
  • plant sale, featuring flowers, California natives and succulents (CASH ONLY, please)
  • fun and educational children's activities
  • self-guided tours

A ribbon-cutting ceremony will start at noon, featuring speakers from Representative Zoe Lofgren's office, Santa Cruz County Supervisor Felipe Hernandez, UC Cooperative Extension Farm Advisor Mark Bolda, and Santa Cruz County Parks Superintendent Sarah Shea.
