UC Master Gardeners of Monterey and Santa Cruz counties will hold a Fall Fest and Plant Sale on Saturday, October 19, 2019 from 10 am to 3 pm at their Demonstration Garden at 1430 Freedom Blvd. in Watsonville. Admission is free.

The UC Master Gardeners invite the community to join them for a day of fun and educational activities for the whole family, including:

- A plant sale offering an array of plants grown from seeds and cutting by area Master Gardeners including California Natives and Fall Vegetables.

- Gardening demonstrations:

        Orchid Care

        Pruning and Tool Care


        Fall/Winter Vegetable Gardening

        Container Gardening

        And More!

Do you have a favorite pot that you would love to plant but can't because there is no drainage hole? Bring your pot and get it drilled at the container gardening demo table! 

- Raffle

- Children’s activities include a coloring booth featuring plant and beneficial insect life cycles and bug house station.

- Food and Merchandise vendors including: A Touch of Glass, Honey Blossom Retreat, Quail & Olive, Milican Pecan, Leaf Filter Gutter Protection, Mosaic Hearts and Bonny Doon Farm.

UC Master Gardeners of Monterey Bay is a volunteer organization affiliated with the Master Gardener Program of the UC Cooperative Extension Service, whose mission is to provide horticultural education to the public and to disseminate research-based horticultural information developed by the University of California. Master Gardener programs, including a hotline, public education classes, information booths, demonstration gardens, events, and special projects.
